Hawaiian Baby Woodrose (Argyreia nervosa) is a perennial climbing vine, also known as Elephant Creeper and Woolly Morning Glory. This vine is often prized for the aesthetic value of its large heart-shaped leaves and purple/white flowers. The seeds of the plant contain numerous lysergic acid amides, including ergine, isoergine, and ergonovine.
Seeds of related species have been used in shamanic traditions, but there is no record of traditional spiritual use of these seeds. Recreational use of these seeds as a psychoactive began in Hawaii, Haiti and Puerto Rico, where they were sometimes used as an alternative to more popular psychoactives.
These high-quality seeds are of the Madagascar variety, and are strictly sold for propagation purposes only. They are easily germinated after nicking the seed-coat and soaking them in water until they expand.
