Though it has little scent of its own, Red Sandalwood is used as a base ingredient, combustion agent, and colorant for making incense sticks and cones. It is recognized for its antiseptic properties in Ayervedic medicine, and is used to heal wounds and acne. For external applications, it is mixed with honey and water and applied directly to the face.
